ABOUT

We are are all innate creators: part curiosity, part proclamation, part gratitude in our freedom to express our passions. These are catalysts for our cultivation as artists, and serve to connect us with others. Howard Brodie, the honored courtroom and battlefield illustrator was my teacher in art school who once told me that my work “gives with life”. Those words continue to encourage me and challenge me in sketches, cartoons, and more complex paintings.

Artist expression, in all its aspects; rich and lovely, dark and difficult, and even the sublime in our daily observations leads us to a way of understanding and appreciation. I see magnificent hope in, up, and through it all, as I believe creation, both beautiful and corrupted, will be made new and perfect in God’s timing. Meanwhile we are never alone, nor left without hope.
